It’s Teacher Appreciation Week and we hope you are feeling the love from your students and administration. We have enormous respect for teachers and how hard you work to make sure your students are equipped for life.
Thank you for all you do! We hope you find some ideas below that will inspire and rejuvinate you. You deserve it!

Nurture with Nature

If you find the pace of life and its demands weighing on you, taking a break to enjoy nature can be rejuvenating.
Here are some simple suggestions to be nurtured with nature:
- Go for a walk and take in the sights and sounds around you: the feel of the sun and wind on your face, the sounds and activities of animals and the beauty of flowers and foliage.
- Take your meal outside and enjoy a picnic whether impromptu or planned. You’ll find your pace is slower and the food tastes better.
- Recline in a chair outside and look up at the trees and sky and enjoy the shapes, colour and movement.
- Spend time with an animal – either your pet or someone else’s. Give them some love and attention and you’ll find your stress levels dropping!
Laugh a Little

There is nothing like laughter to relax your mind and body. This collection of Hilarious Classroom Stories from Reader’s Digest (rd.com) will make you laugh and perhaps remind you of some of your own funny classroom experiences.
For wholesome comedy the entire family can watch, check out comedian Nate Bargatze. He has a number of Netflix specials and youtube videos guaranteed to make you chuckle.
