While our Classy Threads team have been able to take some time off to rest and recharge this summer, we have also been doing lots in the workroom. We thought we would share a few things we have been up to!
Restocking
Narwhals, Turtles, Sock Monkeys, Squirmies and our many other kits had to be restocked for the fall. If you didn’t already know, all our kits are made in our workshop. Measuring, cutting, silk screening, building notion packs, packaging and much more are all done by hand.
Some great staff were added to the team to help with all the work and production has been flying along. We’re so proud of all we have accomplished in the last few months. This pic shows the start of 1200 Narwhals being packaged!
Making a Wedding Present
One of our special clients got married this summer! We received their adorable, bee themed wedding invitation and couldn’t resist making a special gift for them to celebrate their day. Here is our exclusive edition Octavius & Olivia who arrived just in time for the wedding.

Stuffing Lots of Stuffing
Did you know that as well as making all the kits, we also package all the stuffing for them?
This is a big job! Each stuffie requires a specific weight of stuffing to make sure it fills out properly. We receive huge boxes of stuffing that have to be divided up, individually weighed and then put into the bags you receive with your kits.
You’ve probaby noticed how the stuffing jumps out when you open the bags, now just imagine how challenging it was to get in there! Here’s to our stuffing stuffers! A hardy group who battle uncooperative stuffing and stiff fingers to ensure your stuffies are just as cute and cuddly as they should be.
Waiting . . .
We have been waiting (not so patiently!) for our short pile fur to arrive from overseas. Because it isn’t here yet, some of our products are not available in their full colour range and we are so sorry about this.
The shipment is now scheduled to arrive in September but since many of the kits that use this fur have to be silk screened, the restocked colours won’t be available until later in October. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for you.
